Gothic
Frankenstein, Dracula, Picture of Dorian Gray, etc i am in love with this novels basically because they just ooze with originality and idealology and iconography i think they r brilliant so far i have done indepth studies of Frankenstein and Dracula but i am yet to start on Dorian...but i am so excited...has neone read this books or got any idea what they r about?? my fav thing is the hinted sex relations in Dracula and Dorian the Lust the Love and the scandal they r amazing!

Hey, what abour Jekyll and Hyde? That has to be about the most misinterpreted or misunderstood gothic novel ever. Will the movie people ever learn, Hyde is NOT a huge monster. He is the personification of evil. He is Jekyll's evil side, and in the book is described as "small with something displeasing about his face." He's younger looking then Jekyll because he's less developed...not a nutty hat wearing psycho like in the League of Extraordinary Gentlymen (which is an excellent movie...though I'm a bit dubious about the comic books...) Agghh...I'm getting myself riled up. Moving right along...
o..k...well i have no idea, so there goes my comment out the window...hmm...books are good though, i love books. at least i used to, i dont really have any time to read books nowadays...coz i'm so busy with... "homework"...*cough*
i know wat u mean elizabeth and i think that we have discussed this b4 but yeah its a great book and they keep corrupting dracula and frankenstein as well... oh well
